After 28 years in the advertising sector, she has turned her full attention to art. In 2010-12, she studied sculpture, next to Professor Sławomir Andrzej Mieleszko, head of the department of Monumental Sculpture and Dr. Wojciech Mendzelewski, at the Art Institute of Maria Skłodowska-Curie, University of Lublin, Poland. Prior to that period, for 10 years, she practiced using mix media, painting, sculpture, attending the workshop “Topos Ekphrasis” directed by Anna Mailli. In 2015 she received her Master’ s degree in Fine Art at the University of Lincoln, UK.
Since 2016, Eleni Zevgaridou is a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors. Her work takes a variety of forms, abstract, figurative and narrative. Her sculptural work demonstrates a fascination about the human connection, body language, and individuality.
The project “Nomatei”, is about representational, full body portraits of individuals in an experimental framework where she examines, their relationships and interaction with the viewer and space. She attempts to offer a new voice to the neglected naturalistic figural form and proposes the minumentalisation of the anonymous.
